How this sight reading trainer works
A few bars of a real piece appear — not an exercise cooked up by a generator, an actual passage from the repertoire. Read it and play it, note by note, on the keyboard below or on a digital piano connected over MIDI. Right notes turn green and move you on; a wrong one is marked and the reader waits while you look again. Your score is what you got right the first time, because that's what reading is. Then the next passage loads in place.
Self-paced on purpose
Real sight reading happens against a pulse, and that's exactly what the rhythm trainer is for. This page isolates the other half — seeing a note and finding it on the instrument without hesitation — so you can build the reflex before the metronome starts charging interest.
